Following the COPE principles, Editorial staff, Members of Editorial and Reviewer Boards of BEL journal constantly work on the prestige of the journal. Their main objective is to increase the efficiency of manuscript evaluating process and accept those papers that demonstrate valuable scientific topics. Thus, while accepting papers for submission to BEL journal, there can be cases of rejection of some articles submitted. There can be different reasons for rejection that are shown in Peer Review and Research Misconduct Policies. Moreover, it does not matter for authors, which place of work, residence country, race or religion they have. All these factors alone cannot influence the rejection of the manuscript.

Thus, all authors should pay attention to the content of articles submitted and adhere publication ethics principles. Articles must clearly correspond to key topics and specialization of the BEL journal. Besides, great attention is paid to the language of the article (English): it should be professional, proof-read and comply with format standards. In case of weak and nonprofessional language, authors receive the rejection.

The acceptance rate is the ratio of the number of manuscripts accepted to the journal compared with the number of articles submitted in one year. It is about 25-30%.

Managing Editor of BEL journal can assist in any questions concerning the period of consideration, accepting and peer review of the article. When authors send abstract or sometimes the whole paper, Managing Editor must respond within a week and give instructions for further actions. The authors can find the necessary information regarding Submission and publication procedure on site or contact the Managing Editor directly. There is no exact period of the manuscript consideration. It can be changed based on different factors. On average, it takes 70 days to make a decision concerning publication when the manuscript is submitted.
