Digital Archiving and Preservation Policy

Digital archiving and preservation can be viewed as a set of processes and activities aimed at ensuring that the information available in digital format remains reliably protected after a long period of time and can be unimpededly distributed. It is important to preserve the digital content of the journal to ensure constant access to it for readers.

Archiving and preserving of the content of the “Financial Markets, Institutions and Risks” journal is ensured by:

Website archiving

All digital content (XML and PDF format) is collected on a single cloud server which is online and accessible to the readers. In any case, the backup of digital content (in both formats XML and PDF) will be retained within 24-36 hours.

Abstracting/Indexing services

“Financial Markets, Institutions and Risks” is indexed by Google Scholar, WorldCat, IndexCopernicus Journals Master List etc (more about Indexing) which stored the metadata of the article (title, abstract, authors and their affiliations, keywords etc).


The authors could archieve the accepted papers in their institutional repositories or on personal websites/pages. At the same time, it is important that the authors note: The published paper is available at[DOI of the document]. It will identify the journal’s name and publisher.

Independent and Local archive

The Editorial Board of the “Financial Markets, Institutions and Risks” intends to issue articles for a long time.

eSSUIR (Electronic Sumy State University Institutional Repository) is the electronic archive of Sumy State University, which collects, stores, distributes and provides long-term, constant and reliable access to scientific research of academic staff, workers and students of the University, as well as the contents of scientific journals published by the university. This open-access resource, hosted on the UNIVERSITY server on the Internet and available from anywhere and at any time, aims at collecting and storing the intellectual products of the university community in electronic form. Besides, eSSUIR promotes the distribution of materials in the world scientific and educational space, provides free access to scientific information for the Ukrainian and the world scientific community. According to the results of the February 2022 version of the global Transparent Ranking by Webometrics, the repository of Sumy State University is the first among the institutional repositories of Ukraine in terms of the number of documents indexed by Google Scholar (61,700). Repository occupies the 35th place among 3,751 institutional repositories in the world and the 45th place among 3,885 repositories in the world.

The repository of the Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine is part of the general electronic information resource of the Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine as a leading state cultural, educational and scientific institution of Ukraine. All articles of the journal “Financial Markets, Institutions and Risks” are available in electronic form in the NBUV Repository. NBUV Repository provides permanent free access to the electronic archive by means of Internet technologies. The repository is part of the general electronic information resource of the NBUV.
