Розширена анотація українською мовою

В статті проведено систематизацію результатів дослідження рівня емоційного інтелекту серед представників збройних сил США. Аналіз літературних джерел дозволяє зробити висновок про позитивний вплив емоційного інтелекту на лідерські якості та етичну поведінку військових. Актуальність вирішення даної наукової проблеми полягає в ухиленні військовим керівництвом від використання емоційного інтелекту, головним чином через побоювання з приводу можливого ослаблення орієнтації підлеглих на виконання завдання внаслідок його використання. Зневага до виховання емоційного інтелекту призводить до проблем з адаптацією військових до повсякденного життя в процесі побудови ними соціальних відносин як членів громадянського суспільства. Представлені в даному дослідженні погляди набувають додаткової актуальності з огляду на присутність збройних сил у не бойових миротворчих місіях, потреба в яких суттєво зростає протягом останнього часу у всьому світі. Об’єктом дослідження обрані керівники та військовослужбовці збройних сил США. Дослідження в статті здійснено в наступній логічній послідовності: визначення сфери дослідження, що базується на загальному огляді літератури з питань лідерства та емоційного інтелекту; визначення проблемних питань і пов’язаних з цим завдань (перш за все на основі вивчення прогалин в літературі щодо практик використання емоційного інтелекту військовим керівництвом); розробка пропозицій, заснованих на існуючих в літературі теоріях та моделях. Результати даних досліджень можуть бути корисними як для керівників так і для працівників збройних сил США та інших країн світу. Проведене дослідження доводить, що використання емоційного інтелекту може допомогти ветеранам досягти стійкості при посттравматичному стресі, дисфункції відносин, сексуальних проблемах, та інших психологічних розладах і проблемах.
