Одним із обов’язкових елементів будь-якого наукового дослідження є методичний інструментарій, від різноманітності якого залежить достовірність отриманих результатів та їх здатність вирішити поставлені в роботі завдання. Метою статті є ідентифікація факторів, що визначають процес наукового дослідження та впливають на якість отриманих результатів. Методичним інструментарієм дослідження є методи анкетування та факторного аналізу (тест Бартлетта на сферичність, тест KMO (міра адекватності вибірки Кайзера-Мейєра-Олкіна) та тест MSA (міра адекватності вибірки)). Об’єктом дослідження є 401 вчений та 196 практиків в галузі управління та наук про якість. Анкета для практиків складалася з чотирьох частин. Перша частина включала загальні питання про процес наукового дослідження, методи і прийоми, що використовуються в ньому; друга – присвячена важливості використання методів і прийомів у процесі наукових досліджень в галузі управління та наук про якість; третя – передбачала питання щодо напрямків підвищення якості проведених досліджень; четверта – демографічна. Анкета для вчених складалася з трьох частин. Перша частина передбачала питання щодо значущості підходів, процесів, методів та прийомів у наукових дослідженнях в галузі управління та наук про якість; друга – включала питання, щодо вдосконалення процесу дослідження; третя – демографічна. Узагальнення результатів здійснювалося за п’ятиступеневою шкалою Лікерта. На основі узагальнення відповідей практиків основним чинником наукового дослідження визначено «концепцію моделі методології дослідження», що визначається як міра ефективності процесу наукового дослідження. За результатами аналізу зроблено висновок про необхідність розроблення нових методів дослідження здатних підвищити його ефективність шляхом керування, планування, організації та перевірки дослідницького процесу в галузі управління та наук про якість. До факторів, що визначають процес дослідження та впливають на його якість віднесено постійні зміни на ринку. Це зумовлює необхідність використання різноманітних методів дослідження здатних сформувати цілісну основу для емпіричного аналізу. Під якістю дослідницького процесу запропоновано розуміти можливість перевірки ступеня реалізації та узгодженості цілей статті з проблемою дослідження та зробленими в ній висновками. Для ефективного функціонування дослідницького процесу запропоновано розробити своєрідний «алгоритм поведінки» дослідника, що дозволить (після визначення відповідного розриву методів дослідження з особливостями дослідницької проблеми) забезпечити їх узгодження та підвищити додану вартість отриманих результатів.
