Стаття присвячена дослідженню готовності представників фінансової сфери в Саудівській Аравії до переходу у роботі зі складання обов’язкової фінансової звітності підприємств на Міжнародні стандарти фінансової звітності. Основна мета статті полягає в аналізі особливостей впровадження фінансистами та бухгалтерами міжнародних стандартів при формуванні звітності економічних суб’єктів. Методичний інструментарій роботи включає експертний метод на основі проведення онлайн-опитування. За результатами опитування констатовано, що 52.27% бухгалтерів характеризуються неготовністю до впровадження Міжнародних стандартів фінансової звітності. Автор це пояснює відсутністю достатньої фінансової бази знань у бухгалтерів про повний комплекс вимог, які формують Міжнародні стандарти фінансової звітності. В роботі наголошується про додаткові занепокоєння з приводу готовності бухгалтерів до впровадження Міжнародних стандартів фінансової звітності через наступні причини: 1) в основі складання стандартів лежить продуктивна високоефективна фінансова практика провідних європейських країн; 2) деякі стандарти не мають аналогічних стандартів місцевої фінансової звітності. Автором констатовано, що з метою підвищення знань та навичок бухгалтерів з фінансової грамотності необхідно впроваджувати практичні навчальні курси з аналізу та вивчення стандартів звітності. В роботі зазначається, що 57,2% бухгалтерів, які користуються веб-сайтом Саудівської організації сертифікованих державних бухгалтерів, надали позитивні відповіді щодо визначної ролі інформації на сайті для популяризації знань про Міжнародні стандарти фінансової звітності як серед пересічних громадян, так і в середовищі бухгалтерів та фінансистів. Результати проведеного дослідження можуть бути корисними для практиків і контролерів, а також органів, відповідальних за стандартизацію бухгалтерського обліку та фінансової звітності в Саудівській Аравії. Автором обґрунтовані заходи та дії, необхідні для підвищення готовності бухгалтерів до прийняття Міжнародних стандартів фінансової звітності у практичну фінансову діяльність.. Результати даної роботи є фундаментом для майбутніх досліджень з вказаної проблематики, а також можуть поширюватися на сферу діяльності аудиторів, що дозволить знівелювати ряд перешкод, які стоять перед бухгалтерами у впровадженні Міжнародних стандартів фінансової звітності.
