Стаття присвячена дослідженню питання аналізу та прогнозування можливості менеджерів фондів спільного інвестування обирати цінні папери для подальшого інвестування. Методичний інструментарій роботи представлений моделями Jensen, Fama & French та Carhart (що дозволяють оцінити спроможність здійснювати вибір цінних паперів менеджерами пайових інвестиційних фондів). Емпіричні оцінки проведеного аналізу за трьома моделями засвідчили, що індійські менеджери пайових фондів мають здатність до вибору акцій. Автор констатує, що аналіз на основі моделі Jensen характеризує більш високі потенційні можливості до вибору цінних паперів менеджерами фондів спільного користування Індії порівняно з двома іншими моделями, які використовуються в дослідженні. Результати проведеного дослідження можуть бути корисними для інвесторів при прийнятті інвестиційних рішень, зокрема в процесі розміщення власних фінансових ресурсів у фондах спільного інвестування. В роботі постулюється, що інвестори зможуть здійснювати вибір схем спільного інвестування на користь фондів, в яких надається можливість вибору цінних паперів для інвестування протягом більше десяти років. У роботі зазначається, що ключовим ефектом впровадження такої практики взаємодії інвесторів з фондами стане зростання довіри інвесторів, що сприятиме акумулюванню додаткових обсягів інвестицій у сектор спільного інвестування. Дане дослідження обмежується лише схемами інвестування власних фінансових ресурсів, однак в перспективі може бути додатково розширене до практики використання широкого набору схем, оскільки можливість вибору акцій пов’язана з багатьма фінансовими процесами та індикаторами. Оскільки дослідження моделей ціноутворення активів є безперервним процесом, автором запропоновано на перспективу вивчити процеси спільного інвестування у пенсійні фонди в розрізі оцінки впливу таких фінансових показників, як: ліквідність, прибутковість інвестиційних вкладень, рентабельність.
