Дана стаття включає дослідження аргументів та контраргументів в контексті проведення наукової дискусії з питання впливу корпоративного управління компанії на її фінансові та економічні показники діяльності. Основною метою роботи є визначення характеру впливу політики корпоративного управління на діяльність економічних суб’єктів. Систематизація літературних джерел та підходів до вирішення проблеми засвідчила наявність двох протилежних точок зору з даної проблематики: з одного боку, мають місце емпіричні оцінки, що підкреслюють відсутність кореляції між ефективністю і практикою корпоративного управління (зокрема, в розрізі таких показників, як: прибутковість акцій, вартість фірми, ефективність), з іншого, – ряд вчених переконані в наявності позитивного впливу функціонування системи корпоративного управління на вартісну оцінку компаній, що котируються на біржі. В роботі наголошується на визначній ролі ради директорів компанії в розробці та прийнятті стратегічного напряму розвитку організації. Автор зазначає у дослідженні про необхідність здійснення узгодженої взаємодії роботи ради директорів з фінансовим менеджментом компанії та власне власниками бізнесу з метою підвищення ефективності та прибутковості суб’єкта підприємницької діяльності. Констатовано, що головним економічним інструментарієм досягнення та реалізації стратегічних планів компанії можуть виступити ключові показники ефективності та відповідно розроблені до них заходи щодо досягнення такого успіху. У підсумку обґрунтовано, що корпоративне управління не повинно розглядатися як сукупність правил і механізмів, що націлені на управління та контроль компаній, а, скоріше, як процес, завдяки якому компанії стають чутливими до прав зацікавлених сторін. Розповсюдженню корпоративної культури, на думку автора роботи, спрямованої на захист загальних інтересів, сприяє наявність добрих правил та ефективних органів влади, які контролюють їх дотримання.
