Зміна клімату – головне питання нашого століття. Контроль обсягів викидів парникових газів у промисловому секторі економіки формує нові можливості для сталого економічного розвитку. Науковцями та практиками підтверджується висока ефективність впровадження енергоменеджменту для забезпечення довгострокового розвитку бізнесу. Актуальність обраного дослідження обумовлена необхідністю запровадження нових механізмів досягнення цілей політики щодо запобігання зміни клімату і скорочення викидів парникових газів, що визначено в положеннях Європейської системи торгівлі квотами на викиди парникових газів (EU ETS) та Механізму чистого розвитку (CDM). Дане дослідження фокусується на зміні цін в ЄС, де є найбільш ліквідний вуглецевий актив. У статті детально проаналізовані ключові важелі впливу на ціни на вуглекислий газ (ціни EUA), які пов’язані з інституційними рішеннями, цінами на енергію та погодними явищами. У зв’язку з цим у статті визначено денну спотову ціну EUA, що дозволяє виділити щоденні зміни, що впливають на цю ціну, враховуючи високу волатильність на вуглецевому фінансовому ринку. Обґрунтування детермінант цін на вуглекислий газ (EUA) може бути використано для аналізу перспектив розвитку та розширення сфери вуглецевих фінансових ринків. Дослідження висвітлює ключові аспекти цінових стратегій (нституційні рішення, ціни на енергію та екстремальні погодні явища), а також аспекти ризик-менеджменту. Дана робота є продовженням дослідження про процеси торгівлі викидами та здійснення правового регулювання вуглецевих фінансових ринків. У роботі запропоновано технічний аналіз атмосферних змінних, структурних коливань та глобальної кризи зумовленої поширенням COVID-19, оцінено їх вплив на коливання цін на дозволи щодо вуглецевих викидів промисловими компаніями.
