У маркетинговій літературі залишилися поза увагою питання взаємозв’язку між параметрами якості послуг та якості обслуговування й задоволеності пацієнтів у сфері охорони здоров’я. Система охорони здоров’я відповідає за покращення здоров’я населення країни. Щоб відрізнитися від конкурентів, якість обслуговування в основному вважається критичним фактором успіху лікарень (Azmit et al., 2017). Тому конкуренція є важливою для підвищення якості та задоволеності пацієнтів закладів охорони здоров’я (Kitapci et al., 2014). Метою даної статті є визначення взаємозв’язку між параметрами якості медичних послуг та задоволеністю пацієнтів у сфері охорони здоров’я. У статті визначено критичні виміри якості приватних медичних послуг. Польове дослідження проведено на основі даних 208 пацієнтів у місті Тлемсен в Алжирі. Опитувальник, розроблений для цього дослідження, був заснований на моделі SERVQUAL. Для потреб даного дослідження використано підхід Парасурамана, Зейтхамла і Беррі (1985) для характеристики індикаторів функціонування системи охорони здоров’я в країні, а саме матеріальні цінності (фізичні об’єкти, обладнання та зовнішній вигляд персоналу), надійність (здатність виконувати медичні послуги надійно і точно), чуйність (готовність допомогти клієнтам і швидке надання послуг), гарантія (знання та ввічливість співробітників та їхню здатність викликати довіру та впевненість), емпатія (турбота та індивідуальна увага, яку медичні заклади надають своїм клієнтам). Результати показали, що матеріальні цінності, надійність, відчутність, гарантія були більш значущими для сприяння задоволенню пацієнтів, тоді як емпатія була незначущою. Це вказує на те, що пацієнти, як правило, позитивно сприймають медичні послуги, якщо вважають, що якість медичних послуг є надійною, відчутною та гарантованою, навіть якщо вони можуть відчувати, що медичний працівник не співчуває їм. Таким чином, фахівці галузі охорони здоров’я можуть розглядати цю модель як інструмент для оцінки охорони здоров’я та покращення якості своїх послуг. Тому менеджери постачальників послуг можуть використовувати цей інструмент для оцінки якості послуг приватних лікарень в Алжирі та інших африканських країнах.
